Health Month in Preschool
This month is the time to teach our children how to be healthy, and
how important it is to eat fruits and vegetables to make us strong and healthy. Morah read us a book on meal time. It is teaching us how to WASH our hands before we eat, how to always TRY the food because we may like it, how to use our MANNERS, and always say please and thank you.
November, 13- Juice Bar
The children got to taste different juices from a variety of fruits and vegetables. Some children enjoyed the GREEN color juice and some of them the ORANGE color. We would like to thank all the mommies that volunteered to help with the preparation and the making of the juice bar.
November, 14- Favorite Fruit Day
The children were asked to bring in one of their favorite fruit and share it with their friends. We really enjoined making a yummy fruit salad, and we ate it all up to grow strong and healthy.
November, 15- Making Orange Juice
We would like to thank Ariana's Daddy for bringing a box of Oranges and a juice maker to our classroom . We had a great time making our own Orange juice it was delicious.
November, 18- Doctor Day
On Monday, we welcomed a Doctor to our classroom, and he was teaching us how to stay healthy and how not to get sick. We learned about GERMS, and how quick they can spread and make us sick (thank you Jonathan's daddy).
Then, Morah read us a book about GERMS. Use a tissue, not your sleeves, wash your hands when you sneeze.
On Tuesday, we learned about the importance of keeping our teeth healthy and clean. We need to brush our teeth two times a day to make sure that there is no food stuck between our teeth. The children took turns learning how to brush teeth.

It does not feel good to be sick, and it makes us sad when our friends are sick and can not come to school. To make them feel better, we need to call them and wish them a "Refuah Shelema" to get well soon. This week, when Iva was sick, we called her and wished her to get well soon. We sang her a song, and it made her very happy.
On Thursday, we learned that another way to stay healthy is to turn OFF the TV, and turn ON life. Watching too much TV can make us lazy. We need to eat healthy, exercise, and play with family and friends.
