                             Our Home

This week our theme was "HOME". We learned that in our home, we have different rooms. Morah drew a big house on the board with four rooms. A Living room, Bed room, bath room, and Kitchen. We each took a turn telling her what we have in each room.

We traced a house on the paper and then divided it in to four rooms. We then cut up pictures with things that we have in our home and glued them in the room that they belong in.

The girls are playing in a little house.

Morah read us a story about a Goose that was looking for a house.

                        The letter א

This week, we were excited to start learning our Hebrew letters.
The first letter is א, and it makes an ahhh sound.
The word "אוירון" aviron (Airplane), begins with the letter א.
These are the names of the children in our classroom that begin with the letter א:
                     Ariella Sara   אריאלה שרה
                Ariella                    אריאלה
                Ariana                     אריאנה
                Jonathan (Avi)               אבי
                Iva                                 אבה

We formed the letter א with Popsicles.

We glued tissue paper to trace the letter א.

                                                 Opposites

We are very proud to say that we filled up our TZDAKAH box.
On the first day of school, the Tzedakh box was "EMPTY". We collected tzedakah every morning and now it is "FULL".
When the box was "EMPTY", it was "LIGHT", but when we filled it up, it became "HEAVY".

The number of the week is 1. We all took a turn tracing number 1 on the board. Then we traced number 1 using dot paint.

                            Music class
this week the children were super excited to welcome Morah Rivkie, our music teacher, to the classroom. We had a great time singing and dancing.

                                             Happy Birthday
On Friday, October 17, we celebrated Hannah's birthday.
We baked cup cakes and colored them with PINK frosting (Hannah's favorite color). We would like to thank Hannah's mommy for reading us a birthday book and thank her mommy and daddy for bringing us Lego, so we can all play and share in the classroom.
