Our World Unit

In the month of May we began learning a new Unit:

"OUR WORLD".  In this Unit, we focus on teaching the children that we want the world to be safe, clean, and beautiful for us to grow and live in. We are also going to learn the connection between every living thing on Earth. For that to happen, we have to work together to take care of planet Earth that Hashem had created for us.

We began learning about plants and trees:

How they grow, and what do they need in order for them to grow.

• Water- Rain comes from the CLOUDS.
• Light- The SUN provides heat and light.
• Ground- Hashem created dry land for all the flowers and tree to grow on.

Morah read us a book about seeds.

She then brought seeds of  Vegetables, and Flowers so we can plant them in the school's garden.  

 

After three weeks our Vegetables started to grow.

Morah also taught us how to plant a Lima Bean:

• She took a zip lock bag
• put paper towel inside
• put the Lima beans inside
• put water in the bag

                                         After a week the roots started to grow.

We then took the routs and planted them in a flower pot.

We had fun playing with the bubbles.

 Coming back to the classroom we were all thirsty for water.
